RRCAT offers opportunities to the students pursuing degree in science and engineering from recognized institutions in India for carrying out project work towards partial fulfilment of their degree.
About Raja Ramanna Centre For Advanced Technology (http://www.cat.gov.in/index.html):
Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology was established by the Department of Atomic Energy, India to expand the activities carried out at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, in two frontline areas of science and technology namely Lasers and Accelerators.
About the Internship:
Presently projects are offered to students pursuing the following degrees:
- M.Phil. in Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Biochemistry, Biophysics and Life Science.
- M.E. and M.Tech. in Electronics, Electronics and Instrumentations, Electronics and Communications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering and Opto-Electronics.
This scheme has no prescribed training programme/ curriculum. Each selected student has to carry out the project individually under the guidance of a Scientist/ Engineer of RRCAT, on all working days.
Who can apply:
- M. Phil students of final year are eligible to apply for a minimum period of six months.
- M.E. and M. Tech. students of final year are eligible to apply for a minimum period of six months.
Additional Information:
Last dates for receiving applications for winter and summer projects are 1st October and 1st April respectively in every calendar year.
